Artur Dias appointed as referee for FC Copenhagen vs Manchester City
After three wins from their first three games in the group, Manchester City will travel to Denmark ahead of Tuesday as they face FC Copenhagen in a clash that could see them confirm their place in the round of 16 - UEFA have appointed Artur Dias as the referee.
ARTUR DIAS
Born in Portugal, Dias typically referees in the Portuguese top-flight, Liga NOS. So far this season, domestically, he has taken charge of four games, dishing out 27 cards, including a red in Porto's 4-1 win over Braga in September.
As for European pedigree, the 43-year-old has officiated two Champions League qualifiers along with Ajax's visit to Anfield, a game Liverpool won 2-1. He also refereed Croatia's 3-1 victory over Austria in the Nation's League last month.
Tuesday evening will be the third time the Portuguese referee has taken charge of a game involving Pep Guardiola's side. He was the man in the middle when City faced Shakhtar away in 2019 and Borussia Monchengladbach in 2021 – the Blues won both games.
