Clement Turpin appointed as referee for Bayern Munich vs Manchester City
Following a great week for Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side, the blues once again turn their attention to the UEFA Champions League as they've got a job to finish in Munich after beating Thomas Tuchel's side 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium last Tuesday. The game kicks off at 20:00 (UK), will be broadcasted live on BT Sport and UEFA has appointed Clement Turpin as referee.
Clement Turpin
Plying his trade in France, Turpin hasn't taken charge of a City game since 2019 when the Blues blew away German side Schalke 7-0 in the second-leg of the Champions League round-of-16. Prior to that, the Frenchmen had only officiated City one other time - a 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in 2015.
Regarding cards, so far this season Turpin has dished out 74 yellows and six reds in just 28 games. No stranger to the big stage, the 40-year-old has officiated five FIFA World-Cup games and took charge of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool last year in Paris.
