Donatas Rumsas referees Manchester City vs FC Copenhagen in the Champions League
Rather inexperienced Lithuanian referee Donatas Rumsas has been appointed for Manchester City's third Champions League group stage game of the season, up against Danish outfit FC Copenhagen at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, with City looking to make it three wins in a row.
DONATAS RUMSAS
The thirty-three year old Lithuanian official has previously only took charge of one Champions League match before, Shakhtar Donetsk against FC Sheriff in last season's group stage, where he issued four yellow cards. Although largely inexperienced on Europe's biggest stage, Rumsas has got experience with Premier League sides, he refereed Manchester United's 2-1 defeat to FC Astana in 2019 (if you haven't heard of them, City just beat them 6-3); he was also the man in the middle for West Ham's 3-0 win over Genk in last season's Europa League group stage.
