Erling Haaland completes Manchester City medical in Brussels

It was revealed this morning that Manchester City's protracted move for a star centre forward was coming to an end – a move for Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland described as a done deal by David Ornstein of The Athletic, with confirmation expected this week.

Multiple reports from reliable Belgian publications have since revealed that Haaland has undergone his medical with the Blues at Erasmus Hospital in Brussels, Belgium, ahead of his imminent transfer to the current Premier League champions ahead of the 2022/23 season.

It was exclusively revealed by Brussels-based outlet DH les Sports + that the Norweigan had discreetly arrived in the Belgian capital in the early morning to carry out the relevant tests with a City doctor – a clearly successful examination with the source writing that the 22-year-old had passed.

DH les Sports + write that the choice of the hospital came down to geographical convenience as well as not attracting attention, with Haaland reportedly heading back to Dortmund in the afternoon.

Minutes later, Belgian outlet Nieuwsblad.be also confirmed that the Norway international had passed his medical examinations in Brussels, adding that there was surprise at Erasmus Hospital to see one of the most coveted footballers in the world in the establishment. Nieuwsblad.be also confirm that the medical took place in Belgium to keep it discreet and to avoid a flight to Manchester.

Fabrizio Romano has also reported of the medical completed today, as well as providing his notorious 'Here We Go' before an official announcement.
