"Erling Haaland will be better" - Pep Guardiola pre Wolves Press Conference

Pep Guardiola with a very short and sweet press conference ahead of the short and sweet return of the Premier League this weekend, as City face Wolves at Molineux on Saturday. The boss gave fitness updates on Aymeric Laporte, Kyle Walker, and Kalvin Phillips, as well as offering his opinion

on the proposed 'all-star' North vs South Premier League game, and offered his opinion on Wolves.

Fitness updates:

"Aymeric [Laporte] is back in training but is not ready [for Wolves]. Kyle [Walker] is getting better but I am not sure if tomorrow he will be ready. We will see this afternoon. [Kalvin Phillips is] a little better."

Erling Haaland won the Premier League Player of the Month for August:

"He's an exceptional striker, I've said many times. At the age that he is, his ambition - he wants to be better, he will be better. He is a perfect person, he's a nice guy, this is the most important thing. The quality he has, he had before he came here - he's continued to do what he has done. We didn't add many, many things [to his game]."

All-star Premier League game, North vs South:

"I don't have opinion. No, no. I don't have opinion. [I] agree with Jurgen [Klopp]. If they give me the dates when this should be played it would be nice…"

Wolves:

"Completely different team to different seasons. They used to play five at the back, with [Conor] Coady now with four. I'm really impressed with how they play, unpredictable. They have a lot, a lot of really good things. Centre-backs, attack out-side, inside, a lot of talent with [Ruben] Neves, [Goncalo] Guedes, [Joao] Moutinho, all of them. They are competitors. One of the toughest opponents we have faced in last season and tomorrow will be no exception. We have to be prepared. We have to mentally prepare."
"Their position in the table is because football is unpredictable and sometimes you don't get what you deserve..."

Late kick-off Wednesday, early start Saturday:

"It is what it is - we have to adapt. All teams play at 12:30 sometimes; we are no exception. They have a lot of quality, I respect Wolves for what they've done in the past, [they] make us suffer..."
