"It's so important to go four points in front of Arsenal" - Pep Guardiola pre Leeds Press Conference

Pep Guardiola was short and sweet when looking ahead to Manchester City's home game against Leeds this Saturday in the Premier League, discussing Kevin De Bruyne's availability, Sam Allardyce's Leeds United, and what current state his squad is in right now.

Is KDB back?

"He trained yesterday. He trained good. Today we are going to train and decide after training. Losing just one week or ten days is not a problem, it's the same thing that happened with Nathan [Ake]. If he's fit, he will play."

Pep has faired well vs Big Sam:

"It's the past. Always the impact a new manager on the players in the first one, two games, every team is playing for important things but Leeds to stay here. I don't know the system they're going to play, we have to adapt in the first 10/15 minutes. It's a massive, important game for us."

"When you don't have info on the opponent we can't focus much on them and focus on ourselves. Analyses what's in our game to help us in the next one."

Real Madrid in mind?

"No, I'm thinking... it's a lot of games, with a lot of attention. Yesterday I saw the team really tired after the demands from Fulham and West Ham was so big. I'll have to see how the players are, how they recover again after just three days in this previous game, again my decision will be focused on how they are physical and mental to play that game - and after, Madrid. The Premier League is so nice, it's so important tomorrow to go four points in front of Arsenal. It's really, really important. All focus is on the game tomorrow."

Coping with three competitions:

"It's one of the first times we are there [top of the Premier League]. But the fact we play many many games we are used to. What we have done being here 'til the end we have done in the past. It's not a surprise but I admire my players for doing it."

Kalvin Phillips:

"I'm pretty sure, he's always ready. Every player is ready. Again, doctors, physios, sports science do an incredible job this season to keep players fit and we arrive at the end of the season to have almost all the players ready. Everyone has to be ready. Everyone will be important whether it's lots of minutes or a few minutes."

Rodri rested against Leeds?

"Everyone has to be ready. Everyone will be important whether it's lots of minutes or a few minutes."

Ederson back in the team?

"He is ready to play like he was against West Ham, tomorrow we decide."
