Michael Oliver appointed as referee for Manchester City vs Liverpool in the FA Cup semi-finals

After last Sunday's Premier League 2-2 draw between Manchester City and Liverpool at the Etihad, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp's side will once again meet but this time at Wembley in the Emirates FA Cup semi-final, with Michael Oliver in charge of proceedings.

Michael Oliver

So far this season Oliver has refereed the Blues just four times, with City having a 100% win record – something they'll look to extend this weekend. The Geordie was in charge of both Manchester derby victories, the win at Stamford Bridge last September and City's 2-1 snowy home win over West Ham.

As for cards, Oliver has dished out 70 cards in the Premier League this season – six to City and three to Liverpool. He has also only awarded five penalties in 22 appearances in the league this season with three of them being awarded to Liverpool.
