Michael Oliver appointed referee for Manchester United v Manchester City
Michael Oliver has been appointed as the referee for the Manchester derby on Saturday. He last officiated the Blues' 1-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League and will take charge of only his second game involving our side this season.
Michael Oliver:
City have a strong home record when Oliver has officiated, winning twelve of their seventeen games when Oliver has been in the middle. The Blues have only lost two encounters when he's taken charge, drawing the other three. Away from home, their record isn't as kind though, with City losing four of their seventeen games, only winning thirteen. The Blues will hope that they'll be on the end of some fortunate officiating when they head to Old Trafford and not on the end of some controversial calls as they were two years ago at Anfield.

Referee: Michael Oliver
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Simon Bennett
Fourth official: Robert Jones
VAR: Darren England
Assistant VAR: Dan Robathan
