Mike Dean appointed as referee for Southampton vs Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals

The FA has dished out their refereeing order for this weekend's Emirates FA Cup quarter-final with Mike Dean in charge of Manchester City's visit down to the south coast to play Southampton.

Dean has refereed the Blues a staggering 80 times, with City winning exactly 50% of the time and losing 26 times. He was last in charge of Pep Guardiola's side when they travelled to Villa Park in December – City won 2-1.

The 53-year-old has taken charge of City on many memorable occasions, including the 1-0 win over Manchester United in the 2011 FA Cup semi-final, the 6-0 demolition of Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea in 2019 and THAT game against QPR in May 2012.
