Paul Tierney appointed as referee for Liverpool vs Manchester City

Paul Tierney has been appointed as the referee for Liverpool v Manchester City on Matchday 7 of the Premier League season - Sunday 3rd October.

Tierney most recently officiated a City game in the 1-0 win away to Leicester on Matchday 4. A game where City dug out a tough 3 points at the same opponent they struggled against in the season opening Community Shield fixture a game in which Tierney also presided. He's refereed City 18 times, in which they won all but 2 - this year's Community Shield and an away loss to Newcastle in January 2019.
