Paul Tierney appointed as referee for Manchester City's trip to Leicester

Paul Tierney has been appointed as the referee for Leicester City v Manchester City on Matchday 4 of the Premier League season - Saturday 11th September.

PAUL TIERNEY

Tierney last officiated Manchester in the Community Shield, coincidentally against the same opponents. Leicester won the game with a late penalty granted by Tierney, however, his record when he's officiating the Blues is good. Of the last 17 games, he's refereed when Manchester City were involved, City have won 15 - the only losses being this season's Community Shield and a 2-1 away loss to Newcastle in 2018/19.
