Paul Tierney has been announced as referee for Manchester City’s midweek game vs Leeds, as City look to stay on the top of the table on Tuesday 14th December at 8 pm.

Tierney has been in charge of 19 Manchester City games so far in his career. City have an incredible record with Tierney officiating, winning 16 games, drawing once and losing twice.

The lone draw happened this season away against Liverpool, City fans will likely remember Tierney not giving James Milner a second yellow card after his trip of Phil Foden late in the game.

One of City’s losses under Tierney happened this season against Leicester in the Community Shield, which featured a fair amount of youth players. The second loss occurred late in January 2019 against Newcastle, the same week where Liverpool drew with Leicester which kept City’s title comeback alive.
