Paul Tierney appointed as referee for Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest
After a staggering second-half comeback against Crystal Palace on the weekend, the Blues host newly promoted side Nottingham Forest in a midweek clash – Paul Tierney has been appointed as referee. The game kicks off at 19:30 BST and will be broadcasted live on BT Sport.
Paul Tierney
Tierney has officiated 22 games involving City throughout his career thus far; the Blues have won 19 of those 22 and only lost twice. A reasonably strong record that Pep Guardiola and his players will be hoping to build upon this Wednesday.
The most recent City game Tierney refereed saw Guardiola’s men comfortably overturn Leeds United away from home – beating them 4-0.

The 41-year-old has had a stern start to the Premier League season, already dishing out 15 yellow cards and showing two reds in only three games.
