Phil Foden stars as England hit San Marino for 10 – Manchester City International Roundup (15/11/21)

After a busy night, last night, for City players, only two of the English lads were in action tonight as they thrashed San Marino 0-10 at the Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle.

SAN MARINO 0-10 ENGLAND

In England's final World Cup qualifier, Gareth Southgate's Three Lions demolished San Marino 0-10.

City duo Jack Grealish and Raheem Sterling did not travel, the former missing out through a minor injury and the latter with personal issues. After their 90 minutes on Friday, against Albania, John Stones and Kyle Walker were rested from the start. Phil Foden, however, played from the off but was subbed off at half-time.

Starting just off the right, the City Academy graduate assisted England's first goal - whipping a corner towards Harry Maguire. Foden adds to the assist registered in his last outing against Albania.

Stones was subbed on in the 72nd minute for Arsenal's Emile Smith-Rowe.

England have now qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup after topping their group.
