Reports: Erling Haaland transfer is imminent with Manchester City ready to pay €75m release clause
SportBILD in Germany are reporting that the Norwegian superstar striker's departure from Borussia Dortmund is now only a matter of time after he makes a decision on his next club.
All directions seem to be heading towards East Manchester: SportBILD in Germany and in particular their Borussia Dortmund correspondent Yannick Hüber and Axel Hesse are reporting that the Premier League leaders are ready to buy out Erling Haaland's €75m release clause.
The Norway striker's move from Dortmund is imminent according to BILD. They state that the Blues are pushing for Haaland's signature and that he has in fact already made his choice between the last two remaining candidates to sign him in Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Real Madrid's public pursuit of PSG's Kylian Mbappe has swayed Haaland's head to Manchester City where he can be the main man up front, with Sergio Aguero's departure and City failing to sign a striker last summer leaving a six foot four void ready to be filled at the top of the field. Whereas Real already employ one of the world's best strikers in Karim Benzema and are already wrapping up another in Kylian Mbappe; there is surely no room at the Bernabeu for another star striker.

Just like rest of us, Erling Haaland does not want to wait any longer to make his move happen, which is encouraging news for all of us that are following this transfer saga. This may also be the case inside the Manchester City dressing room, with the Nord's name being discussed intensively in the dressing room and the training grounds at the Etihad campus amongst City's senior players.
The 80 goal in 80 game Dortmund striker is seen as the ideal solution by City, which would go along with reports that the Blues are intensely chasing the son of former midfielder Alfie Haaland. It does seem as though we are in the final few weeks here with a decision set to be finalised before the end of April and so many media outlets now from various countries pointing Haaland in the direction of Manchester City, but it ain't over 'till the fat lady (or agent) sings, as they say.
