Reports: James McAtee could head out on loan in January... depending on the team

James McAtee could be leaving on loan in the January transfer window, providing the right team come in for the Academy starlet - according to the latest reports from trustworthy sources.

Paul Hirst and Pol Ballus at The Times report that Pep Guardiola will consider loan offers for the midfielder next month should the club in question play a similar style of football to the Premier League champions - you can use your imagination with that one.

McAtee, who has made his Manchester City debut and Premier League debut so far this season could also be making another debut if a suitor is found to take the teenager on loan in January - Swansea have been linked with James McAtee over the past few months.

The attacking midfielder has scored an astonishing 16 goals in 17 games for City's EDS side this season, including a hat-trick in the UEFA Youth League. McAtee also impressed on both of his appearances for the first team, especially his substitute appearance against Everton on his Premier League debut, with Sky Sports co-commentator Gary Neville being incredibly complimentary as the nineteen year old danced his way past several Everton players in the box.

Have you watched any team this season and thought they played a similar style of football to Pep Guardiola's blues? Well, you could see James McAtee appearing for said side, if they want the services of this incredibly talented attacking midfielder, who's been coached by the man himself.

McAtee's future is still not assured, with the player yet to put pen to paper on a new deal which is being offered by the club, and his current deal expiring in 2023. If he does get his loan move, impresses the people at City and gets his breakthrough and his pathway into the first team then surely there is no better place to be in world football right now than Manchester City.
