Serdar Gozubuyuk

Born in Turkey, Gozubuyuk referees out of the Eredivisie (Holland's top division). In his 16 games so far this season, the 37-year-old has dished out 63 yellow cards and just one red - that's an average of four cards per game.

Regarding European pedigree, Gozubuyuk has taken charge of two Europa League games, Monaco's 4-1 victory over Red Star and Rennes away win at Dynamo Kiev. Alongside one Champions League match, awarding a total of 14 cards and one penalty.

As for his history with City, the Turkishman took charge when the Blues played host to this week's opponents, RB Leipzig, in October 2021. Guardiola's side came out on top 6-3, with Christopher Nkunku scoring a hat-trick and Jack Grealish scoring his first-ever goal in Europe.
